EVENTS ALL WEEK!

The Brewhaha Tradition

Brewhaha has come to be a sign that spring, and all the hope it brings with it, has finally arrived. It's an excuse to put our normal schedules on pause to gather and sustainably celebrate community, good music, and good food–and never have those things been so important as now. This year, we’ve pivoted Brewhaha to an online format so we can all still enjoy the things that make Brewhaha our favorite event of the year. We hope to see you at any or all of these virtual events! 

Music Submissions

To submit a video for our Brewhaha compilation, please send your video (5 minutes max, horizontal orientation, in a downloadable format) to dartmouth.organic.farm@dartmouth.edu by Wednesday at midnight. All submissions will be entered in a raffle for an O Farm care package!

DSU Mutual Aid Fund

All Brewhaha events are in support of the Dartmouth Student Union’s Mutual Aid Fund. Brewhaha is all about coming together as a community, and in that spirit we are amplifying the DSU’s efforts to support first-gen, low income, international, and disabled Dartmouth students during the COVID-19 pandemic. We encourage everyone to find out more here, spread the word, and to donate as they are able.

Cheddar Chive Biscuits a la Margaret Shufflebarger

  • 10 oz (about 2.5C) all-purpose flour, plus some for dusting work surface

  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 ½ teaspoon salt

  • 8 oz buttermilk (about 1.5C) (substitute is 1.5oz whole milk + 1.5 T vinegar/lemon juice)

  • 6 tablespoons butter

  • 2 oz sharp cheddar cheese

  • Finely chopped chives

Vegan French Toast a la Lucas Rathgeb

  • 1 cup soy milk

  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast

  • 1 teaspoon raw sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/3 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 4 slices bread

Popovers w/ Maple Butter a la Lindsey Reitinger

(makes 6 large or 12 medium, halve recipe if you'd like!)

  • 4 eggs

  • 1.5 cups milk (whatever you've got, nondairy is fine if necessary but they'll look a little different)

  • 0.5 teaspoon salt

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour (can sub GF if necessary!)

  • 6 tablespoons melted butter

  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup

  • ~10 min before the call, preheat your oven to 450 degrees and put a muffin tin in the oven as it preheats.
