FARM OLYMPICS
FRIDAY, AUG. 2 | 5 - 8PM | Rides from behind Robo
Come out to the Farm to participate in this years FARM OLYMPICS!!! In a team of 4, you can compete in farm-centric events like "Squash Put", relay races, wheelbarrow challenge, and more. If you love competition, farming, spending time outside, or just want to try something new, we want to see you there! We'll leave from behind Robo at 5pm, and head to the farm for the events! There will be prizes for the top three teams, and the winners will have priority for an upcoming pizza night!
FOOD SYSTEMS IMMERSION FIELD TRIPS
We heard you that, while the Food Systems Immersion Program is AWESOME in theory, two full weekends would be hard to fit into a jam-packed summer term schedule. So, we've reinvented the trip and pulled out some of the highlights into two half-day field trips instead! You do *not* need to sign up for both trips in order to participate.
SUSTAINABLE FOOD POLICY FIELD TRIP
SUNDAY, AUG. 4 | 8:30AM - 2PM | Rides from behind Robo
We’ll be heading to Montpelier to discuss food policy and governance with two farmers whose second jobs are as politicians: Lt. Gov. David Zuckerman (Full Moon Farm) and Rep. Heather Surprenant (Kiss the Cow Farm). This trip is open to anyone interested in Food Policy and local food system governance.

Board of Advisors Mutual Learning Fellows Beatriz Yanes Martinez, Jayde Xu, and Nichelle Gaumont will discuss their co-curated exhibition, From the Field: Tracing Foodways through Art, which explores the idea of food as not only nourishment but also a manifestation of our lived and shared experiences. In particular, it invites audiences to reflect on and interrogate their relationships to foodways, which encompass our attitudes, practices, and rituals around food.
