Here's what's happening this week in Sustainability!

October is just around the corner...
ALL WEEK LONG
APPLY FOR THE ARCTIC SUSTAINABILITY IMMERSION TRIP IN FINLAND!
Due October 8th by 11:59PM. Apply here
Students will travel through Northern Finnish Lapland, exchanging knowledge and sharing knowledge with local partners. Open to Dartmouth undergrads, this trip will explore the impacts of the green transition on Arctic communities and encourage students to think about the question, 'Whose green transition is it really?'
MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 29th
O-FARM WORK DAY - CATERPILLAR TUNNEL!
2:10PM - 4PM | Rides from behind Robo
Join Sophie ('28), Hannah ('26), and Abby ('28) out in the field! Come build a caterpillar tunnel to protect the farm's vegetables.

Come swing by our on-campus thrift store, the Free Market, this weekend! All clothing is reclaimed from Dartmouth's waste streams. Instead of buying new clothing, get second-hand for free!
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30th
O-FARM HARVEST DAY
8AM - 9:30AM | Rides from behind Robo
Join Kaitlyn ('28), Zoe ('26), and Abby ('28) out in the field! This is a beginner and 29 friendly workday! All are welcome
You will be harvesting crops, so make sure to wear clothing you are okay with getting dirty and bring a water bottle!

Come swing by our on-campus thrift store, the Free Market, this weekend! All clothing is reclaimed from Dartmouth's waste streams. Instead of buying new clothing, get second-hand for free!
POP-UP BIKES SHOP
4:30 - 6PM | Bikes Shop (Fahey-Mclane patio)
Dartmouth Bikes hosts Pop Up Bike Shops (PUBS) weekly (weather permitting) outside of the bike shop on the Fahey-McLane patio located on the Tuck Mall side of the building. These are for simple bike registrations, tune-ups requiring less than 15 minutes of work, as well as general maintenance like chain lube and air (which are always free).
CONSIDERING CLIMATE CHANGE - DR. KIMBERLY R. MINER
4:30PM - 6PM | Haldeman 41
Dr. Kimberley R. Miner is an Earth Scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab. Her book, Considering Climate Change, aims to empower younger generations to plan for climate change. She will share perspectives on the current state of Earth science and how to plan for a future with a changing climate.
Organized by the Institute for Arctic Studies at the Dickey Center.

Join us for Sustainability Office hours! We will have homemade baked goods and be ready to engage in susty conversation.
Everyone is welcome! Come share ideas, ask questions, or take a little snack break with us.

Join Hannah C ('26) and Hannah M ('26) for a pizza night at the O-Farm. You will prep your own pizzas and then cook them in the farm pizza oven! Pizza night priority goes to those who have participated in farm workdays.
