Here's what's happening this week in Sustainability!

MONDAY, May 4th
BIKE REPAIR POP-UP SHOP (PUBS)
3:30PM – 5:30PM | Front of Fahey-McLane
Is your bike chain squeaky and rusty? Tires flat? Handlebars loose?
Dartmouth Bikes will be hosting a pop-up bike shop today, and every Monday 3:30 – 5:30 PM, on the patio in front of Fahey-McLane!
TUESDAY, May 5th
SEED AT FARM!!
8:00AM - 9:50AM | Behind ROBO
Kick off your Cinco de Mayo with Marina '27 and Kaitlyn '28 at the farm!
We will be planting seeds in the hoop house (our greenhouse), so no need to worry about the weather. Just bring clothes you don't mind getting a little bit dirty and a water bottle.
We will be leaving from behind robo at 8:00am, and will be back by 10:00 for 10As.

PUBLIC LECTURE: On Time & Water

A lecture exploring what it means to be human — or a scientist — when nature has left geological time and entered a human timescale. Topics include science communication, glacier science, ocean acidification, paradigm shifts, and the limits of language.
Andri Magnason is an Icelandic writer and documentary film director. He has written poetry, fiction, non fiction and science fiction. His work has been published or performed in more than 40 languages and he has won the Icelandic Literary Awards in all categories. Andrihas received international awards like the Philip K Dick honorary mention for LoveStar, the Prima Tiziano Terzani in Italy for On Time and Water and The Green Earth Book Award for his books for children.
He is co-director, writer or producer of four documentary films that have premiered in international festivals like SUNDANCE, IDFA, RIFF, CPH:DOX and HOTDOCS. Andri has been active in the fight to preserve the highlands of Iceland and raising awareness about our fast changing climate. His eulogy for the first glacier that Iceland lost to climate change, the Ok glacier was shared by millions in 2019.

FLOWER SEEDING AT O-FARM!
9:30AM - 11:15AM | North Mass Basement
Join Kaitlyn '28 and Alex '28 for a fun morning at the farm! We will leave from behind robo at 9:30 and be back before 11s! The plan is to seed flowers in the greenhouse, so no need to worry about the weather. Just wear clothes you don't mind getting a little dirty and remember to bring a water bottle. We hope to see you there!

THURSDAY, May 7th
FARM WORKDAY!!
8:00AM - 9:50AM | Behind ROBO
Join Manu '27 (he/him) for a lovely morning at the farm before 10As! It will no joke be the one and only bestest way to start your day. We will go out rain or shine, as we will be working indoors in the hoophouse to continue seeding! Be prepared to get a little dirty and bring a water bottle.
White shoes not advised. We will leave behind Robo at 8 am and get back before 10As. It will be so much fun! Ahhhh! I can't wait!

Come with us to the Dartmouth Organic Farm for a Bonfire Night! We are going to make S'mores, hang out, and enjoy the lovely sunset!!
