INFO FOR NEW INTERNS
WELCOME TO THE SUSTY OFFICE!!
Now Here’s What You Need to Do NOW:

STEP 1: Watch the Kronos Video. DO IT. It’s required.
STEP 2: Fill out the Federal Form I-9

You must fill out the online portion of the I-9 form here (https://secure.i9.talx.com/FormI9/Section1/I9PaperForm.ascx). ON OR BEFORE YOUR FIRST DAY OF WORK.
Generally, your I-9 and employment forms must be completed only once at Dartmouth College. If you have already completed them for a previous position, they are probably already on file.
STEP 3: Fill out Part 2 of Federal Form I-9

Go to the Payroll Office (7 Lebanon Street, Suite 309, Hanover, NH) between 10am and 3pm. You must complete an I-9 Form IN FRONT of a Payroll representative.

Bring original documentation from List A or 2 documents from List B on the list here.

This form must be completed within 3 days of the start date of your job.

This form can be completed only with original documentation and in front of a certified I-9 representative (see below). Photocopies cannot be accepted.

***If you do not complete the Form I-9 on time, you WILL HAVE TO STOP WORKING! No Joke.***
STEP 4: IF YOU ARE A FOREIGN NATIONAL READ THIS STEP. If you are a US Citizen, SKIP THIS STEP.

Non-resident aliens are strongly encouraged to complete and take this form (with supporting documents) in person to the Dartmouth Payroll Office at 7 Lebanon Street, Suite #309.

STEP 5: IF YOU ARE UNDER 18, READ THIS STEP. If you are over 18, SKIP THIS STEP.

Parental Permission Form (Required if 16-17 years of age

If you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian must fill out the form linked here.

YOUR PARENTS MUST complete and return this form to Payroll, BEFORE work begins.
STEP 6: Go Paperless! Direct Deposit, Federal W-4, and Electronic Payslips (Go Green!)

Go to the Dartmouth Human Resources website & log in.
STEP 7: Start Using Kronos and Log Your Hours!

FIRST, we count on you to accurately record your hours. This is a trust thing. We do check hours but we rely on you to be real.

We add you to Kronos and once your I-9 is done, you're "live"!

YOU are responsible for logging into your Kronos account. KEEP TRACK OF YOUR HOURS.

Kronos Hours are due EVERY OTHER FRIDAY. We'll send you a reminder.

Timesheets are sent to supervisors for review after the pay period ends.

Any hours not recorded in the pay period will require a revision process and will not be paid on time. If you need to revise a pay period or there was a mess up, COME SEE US sooner rather than later. We will help you solve the problem.
