REAL ORGANIC PROJECT SYMPOSIUM

Friday & Saturday, April 3rd-4th, 2020 | Dartmouth College

UPDATE: As of March 12th, 2020, this event has been POSTPONED

In accordance with the College's policies and precautions against the spread of COVID-19, we have decided to cancel the symposium that was to be held on April 3rd-4th, 2020. Our hope is that we will be able to reschedule this event once it is safe to do so and we are looking into options for bringing this community together virtually. We are as disappointed as you are to have to make this call, but we feel it is the right thing to do in order to safeguard those in our communities who are most at risk from this illness.

We appreciate your enthusiasm and support and we encourage you to follow all updates on the Real Organic Project webpage.

REAL ORGANIC PROJECT SYMPOSIUM

Collis Common Ground & Spaulding Auditorium

Calling all farmers and eaters! Join us for two days of TED- style talks from an incredible group of organic farmers, scientists, environmentalists, politicians, and National Organic Standards Board members.

The Real Organic Project’s second annual symposium at Dartmouth will focus on the importance of soil health, pasture-raised livestock, why we need to start caring about the trends in agriculture and our food systems.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Paul Hawken who will continue the conversation from his international bestseller Drawdown: The Most Comprehensive Plan Ever Proposed to Reverse Global Warming. He is now working on the sequel, which will offer a specific path to global regeneration in one lifetime. Paul will share his rich thinking on how to work together as a species to transform our agriculture, silviculture, and aquaculture.

Among our other the 30+ speakers, we will hear from Congresswoman Chellie Pingree, astrobiologist, Dr. David Grinspoon, pioneering organic farmer, Eliot Coleman.
