THIS WEEK IN SUSTAINABILITY: May 28th - June 2nd, 2024

Here's what's happening this week in Sustainability!

SAPlings celebrated a year's worth of sustainability learning and change-making with a pizza dinner out at the O-Farm.

ALL WEEK LONG

BRING YOUR CLOTHES TO THE FREE MARKET
  • Moving out or downsizing? Bring your spare clothes in good condition to the Free Market in North Mass basement! You can also drop your clothes in House Centers including the Onion, the Cube, McCulloch first floor lounge, Fahey ground floor lounge, and the Goldstein first floor lounge.

TUESDAY, May 28th

FREE MARKET THRIFT STORE OPEN HOURS
7 - 9PM | North Mass Basement
  • Excited by our thrift store and want to help sustain our efforts? Shocked by the amount of waste on campus and want a tangible way to curb it? Join us for a volunteer work session at the Free Market!

  • Help fold and sort clothing, organize the thrift store space, and more.

WEDNESDAY, May 29th

LAST CHANCES (FARMING EDITION)
3:15 - 5:15PM | Rides from behind Robo
  • Join Ian F. '24 and Julia C. '27 at the O-Farm this Wednesday afternoon for the VERY LAST farm workday of the term! There's no better way to finish off classes than at the O-Farm.

  • Whether this is your first time up or your last (we'll miss you, '24s 😭), come enjoy the best of New Hampshire spring with new friends, lots of dirt, and beautiful views of the Connecticut River.

  • No prior farming experience required--we'll teach you everything you need to know! Sign up on Trailhead.

NO SUSTAINABILITY OFFICE HOURS THIS WEEK BECAUSE...

THURSDAY, May 30th

SUSTAINABILITY COMMUNITY COOKOUT!
12:30PM | Irving Building Patio
  • As the end of the year rolls around, we get especially sappy and grateful for our amazing community and want to take one last moment to gather with you all and share a meal!

  • Since we're taking every opportunity to get outside right now, we're moving our community lunch outside to the patio in front of the Irving Building. We'll be grilling (veggie burgers and impossible burgers) and chilling (watermelon, popsicles, and cold pasta salad) with vegan and GF options.

  • All are welcome–hope to see you there!
